The USDA’s BioPreferred program - in suspended animation - what next?

You probably have heard from a bunch of friends and colleagues that the 2012 Farm Bill was not passed by the House of Representatives.

You may know that a Farm Bill extender was included in the fiscal cliff bill that passed Congress just after the first of the year. But not everything was included in the “extender”. Many items from the Farm Bill’s energy title were missing. And, perhaps most sadly, the nation’s BioPreferred program temporarily lost its funding.
