Polish coated films specialist Invico and Taghleef Industries (Ti) have launched the first of two new coating lines, with combined 12,000 tpa capacity, to produce new high barrier coated films.
The 4,000 tpa line, employing Swiss technology and installed at Invico, is part of a joint project to produce ‘EXTENDO’ high barrier biaxially oriented polypropylene (BoPP) and biaxially oriented polylactic acid (BoPLA) films. Initially, the unit is turning out acrylic coated films, according to Dubai-based Taghleef Industries.
