Survey collecting evidence about the use of and knowledge about renewable carbon in products/materials

Survey runs until mid of September

In order to reach the climate goals, humankind needs to find ways to live without fossil resources. For the energy sector, this means using renewable energies and decarbonisation. Organic chemistry is based on carbon, so decarbonisation is not possible.
In consequence for the chemical industry and depending downstream sectors, this means focussing on alternative carbon sources such as biomass, CO2, and recycling. Altogether, nova-Institute named them “renewable carbon”.

To get a grasp on the use of renewable carbon sources, a brief survey carried out by nova-Institute and COWI aims to collect evidence about the use of and knowledge about renewable carbon sources by downstream users obtaining raw materials from the organic chemical industry.

Downstream users such as formulators (e.g. of paint, detergents, cosmetics and products for car maintenance) as well as producers of articles and goods such as toys, packaging and construction materials are encouraged to take part in the survey.

The survey runs until mid of September and will take about five to ten minutes of your time. The results will be evaluated and published in the context of the Renewable Carbon Initiative.
