Moving forward with its business development plan for 2011, Solegear Bioplastics Inc. finalized two strategic manufacturing partnerships to support production of its Polysole® and TraverseTM bioplastics. These factory locations on the Eastern Seaboard and the West Coast of North America further establish Solegear’s operational capabilities on the continent.
Located in California and Georgia, both facilities were selected by Solegear because of their certifications as ISO9001 operators, their long-standing reputations and their demonstrated abilities to deliver a consistent, high-quality bioplastic product.
“We are pleased to announce this milestone and to be able to create partnerships with quality companies that will support Solegear’s long term success,” said the Company’s Founder & CEO Toby Reid. “Both manufacturing partners have over 15 years’ experience, are high quality operators and continue to be run by their original founders. These new partnerships will help Solegear to deliver significant annual product capacity and to scale out our business with larger volumes.”
Ferco Compounding Inc. of Ontario, California, Solegear’s new West Coast partner, is also excited to provide its expertise in support of Solegear’s goals. “Ferco’s core values and long-term commitment to partnerships tie-in well with Solegear’s goals for the growth of the bioplastics market,” said Ferco President Jennifer Thaw. “We’re excited to be working with the team over at Solegear. We’ll be supporting them with our attention to delivering high quality product and will be looking forward to helping grow the Solegear brand.” Solegear expects to begin manufacturing its Polysole® and TraverseTM bioplastics at both facilities this spring.
