nova-Buchbesprechung: “Proceedings of the international Symposium on Wood Based Materials”

Der im Folgenden vorgestellte Band 4 als Sonderausgabe der Schriftenreihe LIGNOVISIONEN stellt den Tagungsband des im Jahre 2002 in Wien veranstalteten Internationalen Symposiums zum Thema “Wood Based Materials – Wood composites and Chemistry” dar. The issue covers the post conference edition of the proceedings of the symposium “Wood Based Materials – Wood Composites and Chemistry”, which was organized by the Competence Centre for Wood Composites and Wood Chemistry “Wood K plus” in cooperation with the COST Action E13 – Wood Adhesion and Glued Products” in Vienna, Sept. 2002.

Herausgeber sind das Institut für Holzforschung (ihf) und der Verband der Holzwirte Österreichs (VHÖ) (beide integriert an der Universität für Bodenkultur Wien). In über 65 Beiträgen gibt das umfangreiche Werk einen aktuellen Überblick über diesen vielfältigen Sektor, der anlässlich des Symposiums zu vier Hauptschwerpunkten zusammen gefasst wurde (Abstracts zum Download!) The proceedings comprize 5 key-note lectures and 27 oral presentations, a summary of the Cost Action E13, a presentation of the Austrian Competence Center “Wood K plus” as well as 30 Posters with following topics:

• Compound Materials and Glued Products
• Wood Chemistry and Biotechnology

Der rund 500 Seiten umfassende Band enthält zahlreiche Abbildungen und Tabellen zur Veranschaulichung. Text und Zusammenfassungen sind in englischer Sprache. Erscheinungsjahr ist 2003. Text and Summaries in English language. Concluding about 65 articles, about 500 pages (size A4). Year of publication: 2003.
