Newsflash: Seedling Guidelines Handout

EUBP Guidelindes for the use of the Seedling Logo available online

Dear Members,

We have compiled a new handout on the guidelines for the use of the Seedling logo. The leaflet provides a quick and comprehensive overview of all relevant requirements concerning the application and design of the Seedling logo on a product or marketing material.

The Seedling logo is a registered trademark owned by European Bioplastics. It proves that a product is certified as industrially compostable according to the European standard EN 13432. The certification process is carried out by the independent certifiers DIN CERTCO (Germany) and Vinçotte (Belgium).

The handout is now available online and can be downloaded on our website: http://docs.european-bioplastics.org/2016/publications/EUBP_Guidelines_Seedling_logo.pdf

Feel free to share the handout with your stakeholders. It has been designed to provide an easy and quick overview of the correct use of the logo and will help to easier detect malpractice or misuse of the logo.

Earlier this year, the Seedling certification scheme has been revised to adhere to the latest norms and technical standards and now includes the ISO 18606 as a basis for assessment, specifications for testing coffee pads and tea bags, rules for self-adhesive labels, and new procedures for qualitative disintegration testing.
