New Malaysian Partnership Plans to Green Palm Oil Mills

Researchers working together to eliminate greenhouse gas emission and create sustainable practices in the industry

Palm oil mills could soon become “green factories” where their bio-waste – instead of being discharged into the air, ground and water – would be turned into money-making commodities.

Through a new public-private partnership, the production of bio-fuel, bio-fertiliser and animal feed is expected to generate an extra RM14 billion to RM60 billion in revenue yearly for the oil palm industry.
