Autodisplay Biotech GmbH has been granted a Bio Base NWE Innovation Coupon to assess the feasibility of an innovative bio-based idea. Autodisplay Biotech will use the coupon to finance upscaling experiments of one particular Autodisplay biocatalyst.
Autodisplay Biotech CEO Dr. Ruth Maas said: “We are very happy to have been granted the Innovation Coupon. Gaining access to the facilities and expertise of Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant will significantly speed up the development of our internal product pipeline.”
The project Bio Base NWE is funded under the InterregIVB NWE framework and has the objective to support the development of the bio-based economy in North West Europe. During the application process, Autodisplay Biotech was supported by Cluster Industrielle Biotechnologie e.V (CLIB2021).

About Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant
The Bio Base Europe Pilot Plant is an independent, flexible and diversified pilot plant for biobased products and processes based in Ghent, Belgium. It offers support in development, optimization and scale-up of new bioprocesses, and custom manufacturing of biobased products at a kilogram to multi ton scale. The pilot plant is fully equipped to execute every aspect of the bioprocess on a single location: from the biomass up to the final bioproduct. It has state of the art equipment to perform biorefining operations, fermentation, bioconversion, green chemistry and up- and downstream processing for product recovery and purification.
