Impulses for Innovations – 5TH ICC – INTERNATIONAL COMPOSITES CONFERENCE

The ICC 2019 in Stuttgart presents itself this year together with the COMPOSITES EUROPE trade fair. From Tuesday, 10^th to Thursday, 12^th September in Stuttgart, there will be lectures, the opportunity for networking and repeatedly in-depth insights into composites at the Composites Europe exhibition halls with guided tours or on your own. Of course, the natural fiber reinforced composites are an important area, too. So Asta Partanen will moderate a special slot on the subject of bio-based composites on September 11^th, 2019.

“Sustainable lightweighting solutions – #ThisIsNotCarbon”, headlines Marek Jancik of BComp Ltd. his speech and shows sustainable lightweight solutions. Tomi Kangas of Arctic Biomaterials Oy is starting a new era in thermoplastic bioplastic composites with advanced heat resistance and mechanical properties with improved processing parameters. Then Jeremiah Dutton of Trifilon AB introduces the second generation biocomposites. Last but not least, Thomas Joachim from the Frimo Group shows the trends for automotive interior applications with natural fiber composites.

Beneath this special lecture series the topics of sustainability and recycling are also represented in other speeches. There are many opportunities to get information at the ICC 2019 and visit the COMPOSITES EUROPE trade fair at the same time.
