Production in China’s wood plastics composites industry continues to grow at double-digit rates, even as companies face much tougher conditions as a result of slowdowns in China’s housing market and difficulties in export markets, particularly Europe.
Interviews with industry executives at a recent Chinese WPC conference said companies are continuing to make sizable investments in new capacity, either because they see long-term potential, or in the words of one industry trade association leader, because too much investment is being made without enough study.
