DaniMer to Display Renewable Hot melt Adhesives for Packaging at NPE 2012

Product presentation relating to the packaging industry, including renewable hot melt adhesives (RHMAs) and renew film resins

DaniMer Scientific, LLC, an international corporation focusing on the development of sustainably produced, renewable and biodegradable resources, will be attending NPE 2012 in Orlando, Florida on April 1-5. At the exhibition, merchandisers, packagers, designers, processors, and converters will discover the newest polymer technologies for packaging at NPE 2012, it was announced by SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association, which produces the triennial NPE.

As an exhibitor at NPE 2012, DaniMer will showcase several of their new products related to the packaging industry, including renewable hot melt adhesives (RHMAs) and ReNew Film Resins, while providing information to visitors about their materials. DaniMer’s renewable hot melt adhesives were the first of a complete family of adhesives derived from biodegradable polymers, and are manufactured using renewable materials. The DaniMer RHMA adhesives are designed for use in a wide variety of high performance requirements including case and carton seal, carton edge sealing and freezer applications. DaniMer’s new ReNew Film Resins, recently internationally OK Compost certified, are both compostable and biodegradable, enabling its end-user to avoid the cost of removal and land filling.

“The 2012 exhibition is the perfect opportunity for us to display and discuss the environmentally-friendly products we offer within the packaging sector, especially after the recent OK Compost certification of our ReNew Film Resins,” says Scott Tuten, Senior Vice President. “We enjoy participating in shows and conventions in the variety of industries we represent, from packaging and resins to oil and gas. At these events, it is always fascinating to observe the innovation within our marketplace and the strides taken towards sustainability, while also learning about our consumers’ needs.”

In many cases, guests from the packaging industry will be able to observe commercial-scale production of film, thermoformed sheet, bottles, and containers directly on the floor of the exhibition. Since most of the 2,000 exhibiting companies include either packaging producers or web converters among their clientele, the trade show portion of NPE 2012 will present these professionals with a treasury of new equipment, materials, software, and services. DaniMer will be located at booth 59043 throughout the exhibition and welcomes visitors.
