Biofuels part of the solution to tackling emissions from aviation & shipping, say Government advisers

In a new report published today The Committee on Climate Change has urged the UK Government to include aviation and shipping in their emission reduction targets and has suggested sustainable biofuels will play an important role in reducing emissions from these sectors over the forthcoming years.

Commenting on the report, Dr Jeremy Tomkinson, Chief Executive of NNFCC, said: “Emissions from aviation and marine transport are two areas that have been largely ignored by policy makers due to the significant challenges facing the sector,”
