The world’s first awards for the bioplastics industry, which will showcase innovation in the development, use and marketing of bioplastics materials, will take place at the Bioplastics 2006 conference in Germany in December.
The Bioplastics Awards will recognise the achievements of the people, companies and producers that are driving the bioplastics industry forward. They will be formally launched in May and the winners announced at the eighth Bioplastics conference, which will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Frankfurt on 6-7 December.
The Bioplastics Awards are being launched by European Plastics News and Plastics & Rubber Weekly, organisers of the Bioplastics conference.
“Bioplastics is the most established annual conference and meeting point for the sustainable polymers industry,” said EPN technology editor and conference manager, Chris Smith. “The Bioplastics Awards will provide a new vehicle to highlight the opportunities bioplastics provide to retailers and other end users.”
