Uganda: Bidco Group built international funded palm oil facility

The Kenya-based Bidco Group built an over 400 mt/day facility funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development, the government and the private sector. It will host a soap and an plastics plant with a production of edible oil to account for 300 mt of daily production for domestic use and export. This project includes plantations to cover 40,000 ha with an annual production of 140,000 mt of palm kernel oil a year.

Bidco’s partners in this venture are the Wilmar Group (Malaysia), Josovina (Singapore) and Archer Daniels Midland (USA)
