Hosting the guests in the beach bars with plastic utensils is one of the main factors for waste and thus the best approach to address a specific waste reduction. 12 of a total of 21 professionals serve their food just waiting for Cookware that is made from corn starch, palm leaves, sugar cane, wood or cardboard. The plates, cups and bowls in specially designated rubbish bins which finally picked up and brought to the mechanical biological waste treatment facility in the Rostock sea port of Rostock city disposal come after use. There, biogas is produced from the waste.
