SC Delivers First BIC Annual Report

Comprehensive review of BIC’s priorities, activities and achievements

In 2016, Sustainability Consult was hired by the Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) to help write and produce the organisation’s first ever annual report, launched this spring. There is plenty to read in this comprehensive review of BIC’s priorities, activities and achievements.

Sustainability Consult reviewed and drafted copy, as well as coordinating the publication’s final design and layout with our partner bigtrees. In addition to the Annual Report, we produced a one-page brochure on BIC membership benefits.

BIC’s Annual Report presents a summary of key milestones from 2015, such as the BBI JU 2014 and 2015 Call for Proposals, data from the ‘European Bioeconomy in Figures’ and five EU project case studies, submitted by BIC members. Featured amongst the case studies is the most significant EU bioeconomy investment since the start of the BBI JU, a Finnish bioproduct mill.

On a mission to accelerate the market uptake of bio-based products, BIC has focused its attention on bringing the bioeconomy to the mainstream and making it a political priority. Through advocacy, partnership-building and communications, BIC can be proud of the work showcased in the 2015 Annual Report.

A non-profit organisation based in Brussels, the Bio-based Industries Consortium represents the private sector in the Bio-based Industries Joint Undertaking (BBI JU), a public-private partnership (PPP) with the EU.

The BIC 2015 Annual Report is now online and can be downloaded from the BIC website.
