Rennovia appoints VP Commercialization

Chemicals executive to leverage experience in scaling breakthrough technologies

Santa Clara, CA – February 26, 2015 – Rennovia Inc., a privately held company that develops novel catalysts and processes for the cost advantaged production of chemical products from renewable feedstocks, announced today that it has appointed Tim Dummer as VP Commercialization.

Mr. Dummer will report directly to Robert Wedinger, the President and CEO of Rennovia. Mr. Dummer is responsible for leading the commercialization of Rennovia’s technology including product sales, technology licensing and technical services. With over 25 years of experience as a leader and innovator in the global Chemicals and Advanced Materials industries with Fortune 100 and start-up businesses, Mr. Dummer brings unique capabilities in taking breakthrough technologies from concept to commercial sales.

Mr. Dummer joins Rennovia from Solazyme where he was responsible for building the industrial chemicals business based on renewable tailored triglyceride oils derived from sugars. Prior to Solazyme he spent 18 years with DuPont Engineering Polymers & Fibers in Europe and the US, and 6 years with General Electric where his roles included global New Business leader for GE Plastics Automotive business and VP Business Development for GE Corporate Technology Ventures. He earned a B.Eng. honors degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bradford, England.
