Government and private industry have jointly formed a Palm Oil Commission to help generate reliable data on the country’s palm oil industry and paved the way for a Palm Oil Board. Associations represented in the commission include the Indonesian Palm Oil Producers’ association (GAPK), the Palm Oil growers’ association, the Edible Oil Association of Indonesia and the Oil Palm Research Institute.
