Loders Croklaan to build new palm oil processing plant

Loders Croklaan, part of the Malaysian IOI Group, will build Europe’s largest palm oil refinery and fractionation plant in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The plant will be built on an 18 hectare site by deep water at the Maasvlakte site in the Port of Rotterdam. Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in mid-2004 and expected to be completed in 12 months. The investment value was not disclosed, although the company says the new plant will employ 70 people.
