In Nebraska, Laurel BioComposite announced it has completed construction of its new 12,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility and is ramping up phase one production for Bio-Res PE.
The bio-material is a high-performance, cost-effective replacement for traditional petroleum-based resins in a variety of manufacturing processes for plastics. Laurel BioComposite is taking delivery of equipment that includes an ENTEK E-Max 53mm twin screw extruder and an Amtek Microwave system to support phase one production expected to start in April 2013.
