Latest News: Bendywood is joined by Thermaflex

Thermaflex is the latest innovative wood bending material available exclusively from Mallinson Ltd. Thermaflex panels are heated, bent in a mould and set to shape when cool. Panels can be up to 8ft x 4ft and the layers of ply can be made up of a variety of timber species. Alternatively, veneer layers can be interspersed with mdf, hardboard or Bendyply to reduce weight or cost. Surface finishes include a wide range of wood veneers or laminates.

Thermaflex allows us to offer a wider range of solutions to our customers. Many Bendywood customers have been asking for bent panels and this new product allows us to offer you a one stop shop for all of your bending needs.

Thermaflex was invented By Peter Clarke of BLP UK Ltd. BLP are the only manufacturers of the raw material and Mallinson Ltd the sole distributors of both the raw material and the pre-bent panels made from Thermaflex.

We have equipped a new workshop in Dorset to manufacture Thermaflex panels and this facility is now up and running and very busy producing panels for customers such as Luhrs Marine, Morgan Contract Furniture and Jaeger shops. We are finding that we’re breaking into new markets with this innovative new material; customers are finding that if Bendywood does not solve their problems then Thermaflex often does. The synergy is working extremely well.

We will be launching the new, extended product range including Thermaflex and new stock sizes of Bendywood at the 100% Design exhibition at Earls Court, to be held on the 23-26 September (Stand K85), and at ASFI at the NEC on the 10th-13th October (Stand IB5).

Further information on Thermaflex is available at the new http://www.thermaflex.biz website and the new Bendywood price and stock list is available at http:/www.bendywood.com, together with online purchasing.
