The new publication of the nova-Institute was produced as part of the UBA project “Environmental innovation policy – more efficient resource use and climate protection through sustainable material use of biomass” and provides an overview of the available basic data for material use in Germany, Europe and worldwide. Of particular note is the updated and expanded data for Germany, and the development and deployment of a new methodology for ascertaining the worldwide figures. This publication is the very first public presentation of the resulting data and graphics.
