Incentives for the US biodiesel Industry

The US biodiesel industry is expected to double thanks to Congress incentives to encourage biodiesel production and use in the US. Nevertheless with or without the incentives, the industry continues to expect demand to increase this year. Several companies already announced new planned projects for 2003. The National Biodiesel Board estimated biodiesel production last year at 10 million gallons to 15 million gallons, almost triple the estimated 5 million gallons produced in 2001.
