Extended deadline to apply for the innovation award “Best CO2 Utilisation 2020″ – CO2 Value Europe joins as innovation award co-organiser

nova-Institute and the innovation award sponsor Covestro welcome CO2 Value Europe as the co-organiser of the innovation award. The programme promises an outstanding “8th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers”. Be part of the innovation from the very start – 200 to 300 participants are expected.

The innovation award “Best CO2 Utilisation 2020” gives pioneers in the field of Carbon Capture & Utilisation (CCU) the opportunity to present and market their CO2-based product or CCU technology at one of the world’s leading and best-known conferences on the subject of CO2 as feedstock. In 2019, more than 200 leading international experts attended.

CCU_Award_2020_blanko_1_500pxnova-Institute, together with Covestro as the award sponsor and now CO2 Value Europe as co-organiser, will provide CCU innovators with the unique opportunity to showcase their CO2-based process, material or product – either already launched or to be launched onto the market in 2020. This time, the focus is expanded to include CO2-based end products. Producers and inventors are invited to submit their application free of charge by 31 January 2020.

The innovation award will be granted at the “8th Conference on Carbon Dioxide as Feedstock for Fuels, Chemistry and Polymers”, which will take place on 24 and 25 March 2020 at the Maternushaus in Cologne, Germany. The day before the “1st European Summit on CO2-based Aviation Fuels” will take place for the first time. The three-day conference is a renowned meeting point for companies active in the field of CO2-based fuels, chemicals and materials

An independent jury of experts will pre-select the “Top 6” candidates from all applications and nominates them as finalists. The nominees receive a free 2-day ticket to the conference where they can present their innovations to the public in ten-minute presentations. Furthermore, they will have the opportunity to participate in a professional coaching session for product presentations organised by Covestro beforehand. After the presentations of the nominees, the conference audience will decide on the final three winners of the innovation award “Best CO2 Utilisation 2020” sponsored by Covestro. The winners will be honoured during the festive dinner buffet on the evening of 24 March.

As a follow-up to the conference, nova-Institute and CO2 Value Europe will issue an international press release and use their wide-ranging communication channels to announce the winners. Additionally, the first place will receive a professional coaching from one selected CO2 Value Europe expert, according to their business development needs. They will also have an opportunity to present their technology at the CO2 Value Day organised on 14 May 2020, which gathers more than 100 participants from the CO2 Value Europe member companies.
