US-Player to focus in biomaterials, biorefineries

WILMINGTON, Del., Feb. 26, 2014 – DuPont has named Patrick Lindner as president of its Performance Polymers business effective March 1, succeeding Diane Gulyas who plans to retire in April following 36 years of service to the company.

“Diane has provided outstanding leadership, ingenuity and endless energy on behalf of DuPont for 36 years. Her contributions have been impactful on many fronts including business leadership, mentoring and functional excellence. She will be missed and we wish Diane all the best,” said DuPont Senior Vice President James C. Collins, Jr. “Pat’s customer-facing experience coupled with his strong science background has prepared him well to lead the Performance Polymers business into the future. He will help drive the advancement of our renewably sourced polymers further into the marketplace, addressing customers’ emerging needs for sustainable innovations.”

Lindner has served in a diverse range of business and technology leadership positions after starting with DuPont as a chemist in 1996.
