Cereplast, Inc., a leading manufacturer of proprietary biobased, sustainable bioplastics, held a press conference in conjunction with A.R.M.Y. Group yesterday, featuring their offering of Cereplast bioplastic resins for the South Asian marketplace. The press conference was held at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Banjara Hills, in Hyderabad.
Cereplast, Inc. is a US-based company that designs and manufactures proprietary, biobased, sustainable bioplastics that are used as substitutes for traditional plastics in all major converting processes such as injection molding, thermoforming, blow molding and extrusions.
Mr. Vijay Sama, Chief Executive Officer of A.R.M.Y. Group, stated, “We believe that bioplastics are the future of plastics. The South Asian market, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, consists of 1.6 billion potential consumers that are extremely sensitive to the environment, as they know from first-hand experience the damage that is created by global warming through drought and major floods. India was ranked by the National Geographic Greendex 2012 report as the country that is the most sensitive to the environment. Cereplast is now very active in India, having opened an office in Hyderabad last month, and has a developed a very close collaboration with A.R.M.Y Group.
